The unsettling world of new suspense thriller The Night She Cried
30th October 2024
The Night She Cried is a gripping new suspense thriller about deception, identity and inheritance.
Although my contemporary romance novels are known for blending elements of mystery and intrigue, my new release The Night She Cried marks an exciting leap into writing psychological and suspense thrillers. This is a genre that I personally love to read and writing this novel has been a poignant experience.
The character of Maddie came to me in such a visceral way that she reminded me exactly why I started writing fiction in the first place. Maddie is a young woman who knows what she wants out of life, but somewhere along the way she’s lost the ability to voice it.
Deception
Her fiancé Adam takes a secondment in Wales without speaking to her. When he comes back into town, he keeps making excuses for not spending time together. Meanwhile Adam’s parents make it clear that they expect Maddie to give up everything she loves once her and Adam are married.
Identity
When they run into an old friend of Adam’s, things start to take on an unsettling haze. Suddenly this blue-eyed charmer is everywhere. And he seems to know more about the people in her life than she does. Just who is the real Adam Mason?
Inheritance
To make matters worse, no one believes that the beautiful country house she inherited from her beloved grandma is turning against her. Things going missing. Faulty security lights. Explosions in the night…
Her grandmother may have been a famous writer, but surely Maddie knows the difference between fiction and reality?
Danger is closer to home than you think. Will Maddie find her voice when she needs it most?
New psychological suspense thriller The Night She Cried is OUT NOW.
Much love as always,
Tina-Marie xoxo
