It might surprise you to learn that this year marks 15 years of writing full-time for me! It’s amazing how quickly the years fly by…and I’ve had a blast so far!
The story so far
Fans of my work to date will know that my stories are filled with drama, relationships and the conflict that goes along with them. With memorable moments of laughter, romance and mystery, my books are always heartfelt and rooted in themes of love, family and friendship.
First came my signature Hamptons Series. I love the chocolate-box characters that inhabit the village as if they were members of my own family. Even the more frustrating ones! Think Rita Denby, Francine Du Bois, Camilla Barrington-Smythe and Aster Maxwell to name but a few.
That’s why I am thrilled to say that there will be a Book 4 coming soon! I hope for the next instalment to be as, if not more, captivating than the last three.
I have also had so much fun writing standalones. I roamed the beautiful French countryside of my uplifting romantic comedy The Château of Second Chances. My festive short story Chaos at Christmas Cove cracked me up when the starring couple fought over a turkey. And of course my newest release Love and a Kiss, Chris starred my beloved home of Cornwall.
A fresh look for the Hamptons
You will have noticed a different look to my Hamptons novels. My short story Chaos at Christmas Cove has had a makeover too! I really enjoy freshening up the look of my covers from time to time and bringing something new to the stories.
A leap of faith
It’s always nerve wracking trying new things. But the time has come for me to dip my toe into fresh waters. That’s why I am currently working with a very different genre and have two psychological thrillers in the works. Right now, I am writing a ‘fatal attraction’ story that will leave you gasping and checking you’ve locked all your doors!
This might seem in contrast to what I have written before, but all of my stories have been grounded in mystery and intrigue. Several have included elements of thriller, a genre that I have enjoyed reading for many years. I am fascinated by its ability to dive deeper into human relationships and conflict.
However, I won’t be leaving romance behind for good! Apart from the next book in the Hamptons Series, there’s another festive story planned and more to follow.
With all this and more going on behind the scenes, you might not see me that active on social media. But please know that I’m beavering away indulging my imagination creating stories which I hope will continue to entertain you.
Look out on my blog for some more sneak peeks in the coming months!
Take care, keep safe and happy reading!
Much love,
Tina-Marie xoxo
