Happy New Year wishes!
Welcome to 2021 AND a new month! It's a perfect opportunity to take time to review any goals or ambitions and note your achievements - well done you!
New Year New Books!
Although I didn't manage to work my way through my TBR list from last year I did enjoy a couple of great books over the holiday season which I would like to share with you.
The Sum of Our Sorrows by Lisette Brodey
This is the first book that I've read by author Lisette Brodey. The Sum of Our Sorrows is a multifaceted story with challenging aspects that took me through a range of emotions which within the first few pages had quickly grasped my attention.
I soon found myself rooting for Lily whilst exuding anger towards her father Dalton. Lily steps up to the unexpected challenge she’s forced to except admirably and her grief not only for her mother, but also for her immediate future is palpable.
What follows is a tale that will pull at your heart strings one moment and leave you gasping in disbelief the next. I really loved meeting ‘Bonstance Constance Universe,’ and applaud the author on the clever creation of such a quirky character. Some of her scenes had me laughing out loud and the clever plot twists that followed were outstanding!
I really enjoyed how the author weaved in a connection to the Cotswolds in the UK. It presented an intriguing storyline and I loved how it played out. This is a well-written, realistic and emotional tale that I thoroughly enjoyed and I highly recommend it.
The Festive Love Coach by Toya Richardson
I've read several books written by author Toya Richardson. I really enjoy her writing style and her latest book, The Festive Love Coach was right up my street!
Perfect for reading over the holiday season - although it can be read at any time of the year - it evoked that 'good feeling factor.' It's a light-hearted and fun read which finds the two main characters - Maya and Carter - drawn together in quite unexpected ways after their individual holiday plans fall apart at the last moment. The author held my attention as this tale unfolded and she managed to weave in some unexpected surprises along the way. If you enjoy a good romantic comedy then this is the perfect book for you and I highly recommend it.
New Look For The Hamptons!
I have been overwhelmed by the fabulous and positive feedback I have received for the new look covers recently commissioned for my Hamptons series. Thank you so much! As I previously shared, it was a difficult decision to make and one that I wrestled with for some time. However, I am SO pleased that I took the plunge and your wonderful comments have helped to confirm this. I am super grateful to Eeva Lancaster and her team at The Book Khaleesi whose creative talents made this possible and I look forward to working with them again on my future endeavours.
Book 4 in The Hamptons Series
Yes! Book 4 in the Hamptons series will be released later this year! For those of you who have read all books in the series so far I know you will be keen to know what happens next and you will not be disappointed!
I am absolutely thrilled to share that Daz Rice has agreed to be featured in the next book. If you have read Fame and Fortune you will know that Daz and the music from his debut album was a feature of the story. I cannot wait to share what I have planned next!
You can find out more about this talented musician, singer and songwriter through visiting his website, www.dazrice.co.uk.
New Release for Author Tina-Marie Miller!
My next book is ready and raring to go! As soon as I have a release date you can be sure to learn about it first here so do keep an eye out.
I am really excited to share this standalone story with you all and I hope that you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
New Projects for 2021!
As well as Book 4 in the Hamptons series, I have just started writing a new standalone contemporary fiction novel. I have additional projects planned for later in the year too.
The Kelly Jackson Memorial Fund
I am proud to support The Kelly Jackson Memorial Fund which, as regular visitors to my website will know has been set up in memory of my beloved cousin Kelly who sadly passed away unexpectedly in April 2020.
Kelly did a lot of charity work in particular with Oxford PHAB, which was the charity that Kelly was most passionate about. PHAB provide social activities for people with and without disabilities and this is what The Kelly Jackson Memorial Fund want to continue to support. Despite the difficulties the charity face with the current COVID-19 pandemic and the associated restrictions, they are doing their utmost to continue their fundraising efforts and you can find out more about what's going on through the charity's facebook page. If you are able to make a donation - however small - it will be most appreciated. Please take a moment to visit their website and learn more about Kelly and the joy she brought into so many people's lives.
Paperbacks and Ebooks
I perfectly understand that many readers prefer not to purchase books via Amazon.
Signed paperback copies of my novels can be purchased direct through my website.
You can also order paperback copies through Waterstones,
ALL PRICES are matched no matter where you choose to purchase copies from. Post and packaging costs may vary.
Later this year I will offer readers the additional opportunity to purchase Epub / PDF copies of some of my books direct through me so do look out for this.
Well dear readers, that's all for this update. My sincere thanks to all of you who have purchased my books and for all your wonderful emails and messages sharing your enjoyment of my work. I so appreciate each and every one. I am hoping that my new book - and certainly our next journey to the Cotswolds - will be as well received!
May this New Year be filled with an abundance of health and happiness for you all. Happy reading!
